Mary Lou Hartzog, 80, of Washington, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024, in her home. She was born October 31, 1943, in Washington, a daughter of the late William Grandon and Twila Moore. Mary was a homemaker who loved shopping and scratch-off lottery tickets. She was an avid Steelers fan. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. On January 29, 1962, she married Robert William Hartzog, who passed away November 22, 2016. Surviving are two sons, Robert W. (Mindy) Hartzog and Freddie Hartzog; five daughters, Judy (Joey) Naraskivitch, Kathy Hartzog, Barbara Hartzog, Donna (Sherman) Brown and Debbie Barrows; a brother, David Grandon; two sisters, Elizabeth Bain and Louise Grandon; 27 grandchildren, Paula, Daniel, William, Paul, Joshua, Robert, Deanna, Justin, Angela, Tiffany, Tyler, Anthony, Mary, Zack, Fred, Courtney, Courtney, Jordan, Ryan, Faith, Daryl, Nathan, Matthew, Sara, Ashley, Nicole and Joey Jr.; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to her husband and parents, are three brothers, Bob, Larry and Robert Grandon. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2024, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2024, with Pastor Joe DiDonato officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
