Mary Beth (Betsy) Cottrill, 69, of Washington, PA died on October 28, 2022 in Washington Hospital. She was born on March 28, 1953 in Washington, PA. daughter of M. Virginia Ferris Salsberry and Albert (Doc) Crawford, but raised by her mom and loving dad, Lloyd P. Salsberry, all of whom are deceased and of Washington, PA. Betsy was a graduate of Trinity High School, class of 1971. She was also a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. During her working years, Betsy held many positions in occupations ranging from nurses aid to grocery retail. She would sometimes volunteer at Thomas Campbell in the dining room. Included in Betsy’s hobbies, she enjoyed playing bingo and trips to the casino. She would pass time doing diamond art, crossword puzzles, word search, and watching TV, mainly cooking shows and animal planet. Betsy loved dancing, especially to oldies music. A woman with a heart of gold, she loved unconditionally and never met a stranger. She enjoyed spending time with family and her good friends at Thomas Campbell Apartments. Betsy adored many furbabies throughout the years. Most recently her dog, Peanut, and a rescued cat named Inks. Surviving are brothers; Bruce (Tina) Crawford of Meadowlands, PA and Scott (Debbie) Crawford of Canonsburg, PA. Sisters; Pam (Greg) Hilderbrand, Paula Fulton, Lori (Frank) Tennant, and Suzanne Fretz, all of Washington, PA. Also, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by infant daughter, Virginia Lee Wilkinson, great nephew, Caden Frost Hilderbrand, and stepmother, Dorothy (Dottie) Crawford. Friends and family are welcome on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, the time of service, at William G. Funeral Home LTD, 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA. Burial to follow at Lone Pine Cemetery.
