Marjorie Kay Beaumariage

Marjorie Kay Beaumariage, 80, of Hickory, passed away Monday, July 1, 2024, in St. Clair Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born August 3, 1943, in Washington, a daughter of Alexander Charles Beaumariage and Mary Bell Beaumariage. Marjorie was a 1961 graduate of Fort Cherry High School. She received her bachelor’s degree from Waynesburg University and her master’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania. She retired from Avella Elementary School as a teacher and was also a retired farmer. Marjorie was a member of View Crest Presbyterian Church in Eighty Four. Farming was nearest and dearest to her and a true passion of hers. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting and genealogy, and loved traveling, especially to Lancaster. Surviving are a sister, Priscilla (the late John L.) Bernard; a nephew, Michael (Denise Smith) Bernard; a niece, Michelle (Alan) Helfer; three grandnieces, Renee Bernard, Allison Helfer and Anna Helfer; a grandnephew, Alex Bernard; a special cousin, Nancy Beaumariage Pryor; a special friends, Greg Wasler and Sandy Clark; the caretaker of her pet, “Chili,” and her friend, Michelle Liggett; and her farm caretaker, Mike Chechuck. Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the time of service, Friday, July 5, 2024, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with the Rev. Shaun Nolan officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to View Crest Presbyterian Church, 883 Linden Road, Eighty Four, PA 15330 or Presbyterian Senior Care, Southminster Place, 880 South Main Street, Washington, PA 15301.
