Marie Cecilia Ullom

Marie Cecilia Ullom, 85, of Washington, died October 25, 2023, in her home. She was born November 1, 1937, in Westland, the daughter of the late Joseph Stewart and Elizabeth S. Conner Cass. Marie was a homemaker, and previously worked as a packer for Taggart Valley Glass Company, was a nursing assistant at Mayview State Hospital, and a personal care assistant for in-home care. She attended Jefferson Avenue Methodist Church. She was an avid reader, loved to bake and cook, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Marie was the strong rock of the family. On November 17, 1951, Marie married James Jay Ullom, Sr, who died June 19, 2008. She is survived by two sons, Eric (Jennifer Ann) Ullom, and James J. (Terri) Ullom, Jr.; a daughter, Geraldine (Don Ramsey) Hergert-Ramsey; brother, Raymond Cass; sister, Rebecca Cass Fehl; grandchildren, Stacie, Lauren, Gwen, Max, Paige; great grandchildren, Jakob, Sam, and Averie; sisters-in-law, Shirley Gisoni, Judy Cass, and Karen Cass; and many nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by several of her siblings. Family and friends will be received Monday, October 30, 2023, 3-6 pm, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, followed by a service at 6pm. Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
