Margaret Jean “Peg” Wilson, 91, of Washington, died Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Premier Washington Health Center. She was born on March 14, 1930, in Washington, the daughter of the late Harold Orville and Helen Elizabeth Clemens White. Peg was a 1948 graduate of Washington High School. She worked as a bookkeeper at the Tax claim office of Washington County. She was very involved in her community as President of the Greater Washington Food Bank, volunteered with the United Cerebral Palsy, DeMolay Club, Democratic Committee Chairperson for Washington County, D.A.R., Daughters of Union Veterans, Girl Scout Leader, and member of the Bell Telephone Club. Peg was a member of Third United Presbyterian Church for 79 years. On May 19, 1951, Peg married George C. Wilson Jr., who died April 13, 2002. Surviving is a son, George C. (Cyndi) Wilson III; daughters, Shirley Dean (Jim) Williams, of Blacklick, OH, Deborah Wilson of Jeannette, and Denise Wilson Lago of Jeannette; grandchildren, Patrick (Jasmine), Nicholas (Georgie), Nicole (Zack), Matthew (Alyssa), Megan (Eric), Mitchell (Abigail), Victoria, and Morgan; great-grandchildren, Henry, Dagny, Lilly, Fletcher, and Eli. Peg loved telling the world about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. No one loved them more and they will miss her dearly. Peg will also be missed by her many friends. She always had a story to tell, even to a stranger, to make them feel like a friend. She was preceded in death by a brother, David Wayne White; a sister, Shirley E. White; and grandchildren, George Williams, and James Williams. At the request of the deceased, all services are private.
