Loland L. Burns, 56, of Washington, died Monday, May 1, 2017. He was born April 12, 1961, in Washington, a son of the late Robert L. Burns and Phyllis Houston Burns. A graduate of Trinity High School, Mr. Burns worked for more than 30 years at Ferro Corporation, formerly Drankenfeld, and most recently worked at Precision Marshall Steel. He enjoyed many outdoor activities, including boating, hunting trips to Colorado and spending time at Yough Lake with his family. On November 2, 1985, he married Cathy Gettemy, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Emily Burns of Washington; two brothers, Robert C. Burns and Stephen A. Burns; a sister, Nan (Charles) Eneix, all of Washington; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., the time of service, Friday, May 5th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
