Lois J. Boyer, 97, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021, in Washington, PA. She was born the youngest daughter of William and Nellie (Grier) Schleh in Williamsport and lived for most of her life in the Williamsport area. She had been employed by Textron Lycoming (formerly Avco Lycoming) for over 20 years prior to her retirement in 1982. She was a follower of Christ and had a heart for children, with whom she shared God’s love as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was predeceased by her first husband, Donald J. Schaefer and her second husband, Orrin B. Boyer. She was also predeceased by three brothers, Lester, James, and William; six sisters, Laura Walters, Helen Clark, Ruth Breon, Grace Ripka, Anna Reid and Elsie Schriner. She is survived by a daughter, Kathy A. (Rev. Clarence) Croscutt of Washington; a son, Donald Jeffrey (Leslie) Schaefer of Williamsport; a stepson, Gale (Linda) Boyer; two stepdaughters, Cleota (John) Keefer and Joy (Richard) Moffett (all of Jersey Shore), six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation or funeral service. A service of remembrance will be planned for a later date to be determined by her family.
