Linda A. Stiffler

September 8, 1942 — October 11, 2024

Linda Ann (Bundy) Stiffler, 82, of Washington, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 11, 2024, with her son by her side. She was born September 8, 1942, to the late William H. Bundy and Emma L. (Povero) Bundy. In addition to her parents, Linda was also preceded in death by her brother, William J. Bundy. She was a 1960 graduate of Union High School in Burgettstown and was honored to be hired at the former Calgon Corporation following High School. She soon married her high school sweetheart and gladly followed him to Italy where he was stationed in the U.S. Navy. Linda enthusiastically told friends and family alike that her first son was almost born in Italy and just missed the chance at dual citizenship. Linda had a deep devotion to God and family. She adored her boys and grandchildren, and especially loved spending time with them. As her two boys graduated high school, Linda went on to work various jobs in the Washington area to support herself and her young sons. She was especially proud to have worked at Washington Federal, now Washington Financial Bank. Linda became dedicated to keeping the family home intact to ensure that her oldest son completed college. She also clerked at the former Quik ‘n Easy on West Chestnut Street in Washington, served as a personal aid, and cleaned offices in the Washington Trust Building. Eventually, arthritis forced her to cease work and settle in to enjoy her grandchildren every chance she could. Linda thoroughly enjoyed every hilarious moment with each of her rowdy Bellmead friends during dinner times and holiday parties. They could keep each other laughing throughout mealtime and beyond. Linda was especially proud of her long-time friend, Darla K. Lutz, when Darla became an ordained minister. She leaves behind her two sons, Harry, Jr. (“J.R.”). and Ted (Shari Von Scio) Stiffler, both of Washington, whom she taught to love and trust in Jesus; her treasured grandchildren, Bret (Megan Winters) Stiffler of Pittsburgh, Emily Stiffler of Washington, Zachary Stiffler, currently stationed in Italy, Emily Newman and Arno Barone of Washington; and her sister-in-law, Sybil Bundy. Services are private and interment will be in the Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please send gifts in memory of the Bundy Families to Fairview Cemetery, P.O. Box 284, Burgettstown, PA 15021, or Our Lady of Lourdes Church of St. Isadore the Farmer Parish, 1109 Main St., Burgettstown PA 15021.
