Letitia L. “Tish” Stark, 70, of Washington, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021, in her home, due to natural causes. She had been in declining health over the past year. She was born on January 1, 1951, in Washington, a daughter of the late Robert W. Simpson and Clara Hixon Simpson. Tish was a 1970 graduate of Washington High School. On November 9, 1974, she married John Lee Stark, and they moved to Fairfax County, Virginia, where they lived for many years. John died on May 21, 2016. A woman of strong faith, Letitia recently attended the Christian Bible Fellowship Church, of Washington. Mrs. Stark worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, sharing her gift of caring and tenderness for the elderly. She worked at several nursing homes, retiring from Presbyterian Senior Care. Tish enjoyed cross-stitching, and she adored her little Pomeranian, Mylie. Left behind to cherish her memory are a daughter, Jennifer L. Stark, of Washington; two sisters, Barbara Levia, of Colorado and Carolyn (Melvin) Shoup, of Washington; a brother, Robert (Nancy) Simpson, of Washington; as well as many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by Mylie, her little furry companion. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all services and burial with her husband in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies are private.
