Lester Lee Gentile Jr., “Smokey” died on Thursday, March 27, 2025, morning at 2:45 a.m., in his home.

He was born on July 9, 1970, in Washington hospital, the son of Lester and Dolores J. Harris Gentile.

Lester had a sister, Dolores J. Patrick (Franklin); a brother, Michael Edward (Jamie Jarvis); and a brother, Antonio Albert (girlfriend Amber Parkinson).

A brother, Philege Marchese, is deceased.

Lester was a loving son, father, and grandfather to Brayden. He had three sons, David Marchese, Andrew Scott, and Zachary Lee. He also had one daughter, Ava Frankie Lea, who died at birth.

He graduated from McGuffey High School and then Waynesburg College.

Lester was a hard worker at an early age. He drove a truck for many years, until he retired early when he became sick. He lived with his parents who were his caregivers.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Family and friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m., the hour of service, Wednesday, April 2, 2025, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Lanie Hewitt officiating.
