Lena Mae Taylor

Lena Mae Clutter-Staggers-Bistle-Taylor, 83, of Washington, went home on Monday, April 23, 2018, in the Grove at Washington. She was born on August 6, 1934, in East Finley, a daughter of the late Willis and Melza Ealy Clutter. She attended Claysville schools, and was Methodist by faith. After working as a telephone operator in Waynesburg, she and her husband, Robert Bistle, owned a shoe store.  Mrs. Taylor retired from the Washington Hospital. A life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 927, she was also a member of the American Legion Post 175, and the Women of the Moose Lodge 22. Lena loved her baby Yorkie, Heidi.  She also enjoyed bingo, shopping, and talking to everyone, even if she didn’t know them.  Most of all, she loved her family and friends. Surviving are two sons, Douglas (Cheryl) Staggers and Robert (Lisa) Bistle, both of Washington; a daughter, Sue Swan, of Washington; six brothers, Larry Clutter, of Philadelphia, Reed Clutter, of Prosperity, George Clutter, of Myrtle Beach, SC, Roy Clutter, of Graysville, John Clutter, of Cleveland, OH, and Leo Clutter, of Washington; three grandsons, Dustin Patrick, Danny Patrick and Michael Swan; two granddaughters, Katie (Travis) Martin and Kory (Dillon) Durila;  a great grandson, Wyatt Durila; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph Staggers, Robert C. Bistle and Robert Taylor, four brothers, Fred, Louis, Willis and Raymond Clutter, three sisters, Nancy Atkins, Lucille Katsaros and Margaret Amon, and a grandson, Mark Swan. Friends will be received on Thursday, April 26, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 27, 2018. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
