Lauri Dobscha Steele

Lauri Dobscha Steele, 54, of Washington, died Tuesday, December 3, 2019, in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care. She was born September 16, 1965, a daughter of the late Henry W. Dobscha and Judith McKay Dobscha. Mrs. Steele was a 1983 graduate of McGuffey High School and worked at Macy’s in Washington. She loved her grandchildren, animals, and hummingbirds, and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. After nine years together, she married James Steele on July 13, 2019. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are four daughters, Jessica (James) Peel, Korinne Mendicino (Sam Carpenter), Kellie Mendicino and Brooke Mendicino.; a step-son, Addison Steele; a brother, Ron Dobscha; five grandchildren, Gavin Peel, Sam Carpenter II, Gage Peel, Eli Carpenter, and Margot Steele; two nieces, Heather (Cory) Young and Sashala Dobscha; and good friends, Lisa (Dirk) DePaoli and Wendy (Scooter) Liggett. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, December 7th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
