Larry Joe Grandon, 65, of Prosperity, died May 7, 2022, in his home. He was born April 29, 1958, in Washington, the son of Twila Moore. Larry was a painter by trade, having worked for Newman’s Painting and Don West Painting & Cleaning. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and working on cars. Larry is survived by sons, Larry (Sarah) Grandon, of Houston, William (Heather) Grandon, of Washington, John (Courtney) McCloskey III, of Washington, and Clayton Grandon, also of Washington; daughters, Christy (Kris) Martin, of Manassas VA, and Tracy (Mathu) Thomas, of Houston; a brother, David Grandon, of Michigan; sisters, Elizabeth (Thomas) Bane, of Eldersville, Louise Blanco, of Michigan, and Mary Hartzog, of Washington; grandchildren, Julius, Seth, Keeley, Deja, Neveah, Wyatt, Xavier, Harper, Sophia, Emilia, and Johnny; his former wife, Rebecca Garber, who was his caregiver in his later years; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Grandon. Friends will be received Thursday, May 12, 2022, 1pm until 4pm, the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor Rick Bruckner officiating.
