Kenneth Leroy McDonald, 75, of Washington, passed away Friday, May 31, 2024, in the Washington Hospital emergency room. He was born November 18, 1948, in Washington, a son of the late George Wilson McDonald and Margaret Esther Orum McDonald. Kenneth had previously worked in the construction and truck driving business and retired from Goodwill Industries. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal. Kenneth was a member of the American Legion Post #902 in Houston and the Muse Italian Independent Club where he was also a bartender for many years. On February 2, 1974, he married his wife of 50 years, Alice Irene Greene McDonald, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Kenneth (Dawn McCauley) Leroy McDonald Jr.; two daughters, Betty Jo Natoli and Sherry Ann McDonald; three brothers, George (Shirley) McDonald, Wilbert McDonald and Albert (Tammy) McDonald; four sisters, Clara Bushko, Laura Andreolli, Dorothy Workman and Daisy Nocki; two grandchildren, Scott Alan Natoli and Lilly Michelle Zombeck; a great-grandchild, Adriana JoLee Natoli; and many nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to his parents, are two brothers, John McDonald and Walter McDonald; a sister, Margaret Peterman; four brothers-in-law, Joe Bushko, Albert Nocki, John Peterman and Rudy Andreolli; and a sister-in-law, Christy McDonald. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2024, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., where services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Interment will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville. Military rites will be accorded by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191 Honor Guard.
