Kelly Ray Gump, 59, of Washington, died May 15, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family, after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. He was born June 15, 1961, in Washington, the son of the late Norman and Delores “Dody” Greer Gump. Kelly graduated from Trinity High School and was self employed as a painter and drywall finisher. He was a member of Moose Lodge 22 and VFW 927. He loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, hunting and fishing. He loved being called “Pappy” and took great pride in the distinction. Watching his grandchildren’s sporting events was something he really enjoyed. On October 17, 1981, Kelly married Valarie Scott, who survives. Left to cherish his memory in addition to his wife Valarie, is son, Justin Gump, of Washington; daughter, Shannon (Matthew) Ringheisen, of West Alexander; brother, Jeff Gump, of Lone Pine; grandchildren, Chance, Camryn, Matthew, Mason, and Noah; and many nieces and nephews. Kelly was predeceased by his sister, LuAnn Knox. Friends will be received on Thursday, May 20, 2021, from 4pm-7pm, in William G. Neal Funeral Home, 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, the time of service of 7pm, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating.
