Karen Jane (Engle) Sulc, 78, of Washington, died July 28, 2022, in the Donnell House. She was born December 31, 1943, in Washington, the daughter of the late Carl E. and Margaret R. Fonner Engle. Karen graduated from Washington High School and worked for Collection Service Center and American Auto Auction. She was a member of St Hilary Roman Catholic Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years. Karen also enjoyed traveling with St Hilary Travel Club, her husband, and friends. She enjoyed her community, specifically being a member of the Elks, Arms Club, Moose Lodge, Kiwanis, and Washington Executives Association. Her special heart was so giving, focusing on others participating in many community service and fundraising events, prior to her illnesses. Karen’s most precious blessings were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved talking and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition, she had a very special place in her heart for all of her nieces and nephews. Time with family meant the world to her, especially the cousins luncheon plus one auntie Karen. Karen always showed up. She loved everybody and was loved by all she touched. On June 22, 1963, Karen married Joseph E. Sulc, who survives. She is also survived by three daughters, Renae Semple (Ronald), of Washington, Lori Kisner (Joseph), of Washington, and Karrie Sicely (Brent), of Ocala, FL; ten grandchildren, Connor Semple (Rachel), Preston Semple (Alexis Emrisko), Elexis DeLuca, Michael DeLuca (Megan), Joseph Kisner (Jessica), Jr, Jacob Kisner, Kisha Thompson, Kharah James, Katrina Speight and Brent Sicely, Jr.; and sixteen great grandchildren.
