Karen Sue Salamone

Karen Sue Salamone, 77, of Canton Township, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024. She was born January 22, 1947, in Washington, a son of the late Emerson Vaughn Miller and Iva Myrtle Barney Miller. On November 12, 1966, she married David Anthony Salamone, who passed away February 22, 2021. Mrs. Salamone was a graduate of Trinity High School. She was a homemaker and had previously worked at Giant Eagle for many years. Mrs. Salamone loved gardening, bird watching and painting. Surviving are her daughters, Tina (Steve) Salomonsen, Angela (Jess) Anderson and Deborah (John) Marton, all of Washington, and Melissa (Beau) Barker of Cleveland, Ohio; her grandchildren, Dominic, Owen, Piper, Karlee and Jillian; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are her son, Edward Salamone; her brother, Vaughn “Sonny” Miller; and her sisters, Vivienne Lee Miller and Linda Byrd. Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the time of service, Friday, May 10, 2024, in William G. Neal Funeral Home, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
