Karen Lee Desai

December 5, 1956 — May 14, 2021

Karen Lee Desai, 64, of Washington, died unexpectedly, May 14, 2021, at her home. She was born December 5, 1956, in Washington, the daughter of the late Harry L. and Ruth Moninger Nesbit. Karen graduated from Trinity High School and earned her master’s in Divinity. She was also proud of graduating from nursing school with an LPN. Karen was a homemaker. She was very strong in her faith and led many people to the Lord. She loved learning the Bible and taught Bible studies. As an animal lover, she loved all animals. She was an amazing “Cat Mom” to Clementine and Zoe and loved all the animals that she had over the years. Karen enjoyed watching sunsets, especially in Erie. Prior to her illness and master’s, she was active in fitness and aerobics. She was a courageous and strong person who battled many health issues and kept a smile on her face with the strength of the Lord. She was so funny, had a huge personality, and laughed often and contagiously. She always gave tight bear hugs, and never hung up the phone without saying I love you. She was generous, even with what little she had. She loved her family, and her family loved her. Left to cherish her memory, are daughters, Terra-Shea (Harlan) Humphrey, Dorianne Tittle, Lauren (Steven) Patterson, and Chantel Clemons; sisters, Cheryl Arce, and Valerie White; grandchildren, Layton, Adelynn, Greyson, Aden, Lyla, and Dev; nieces and nephews, Heather, Kelly, Maria, Anthony, Tony, Victoria; and many extended family and friends. Friends will be received on Saturday, May 29th, from 1 to 4 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Additional information and a guestbook are available at www.NealFuneralHome.com
