Karen Elizabeth Taylor Campbell, 75, of Washington, passed away Friday, February 12, 2021. She was born, in Washington, on January 5, 1946, a daughter of the late Anthony Taylor and Edith Taylor Pollard. A 1963 graduate of Washington High School, Karen attended the Connelley Technical Institute and the Community College of Allegheny County completing her LPN and RN coursework respectively. Ms. Campbell was employed, as a pediatric nurse, for nearly fifty years, where she specialized in home health care. Karen is survived by children Kelley Campbell and John “Curtie” (Amanda) Campbell, Jr., both of Washington; grandchildren Sirhonda (Brandon) Phillips, John Campbell III, Tiarra Campbell, Hayden Bennett, Taylor Turner, Tiffany Turner, and Hope Campbell; great-grandchildren Brooke Phillips, Breanna Phillips, Kadan Hankins, and Brandon Phillips, Jr.; brother Mark Taylor; “adopted son” James Sadler; former spouse John Campbell, Sr.; and an array of extended family. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings Carol Gibbs, Kent Taylor, and Scott Taylor. A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
