June Eileen Sim, 76, of Washington passed away on January 4, 2023 in the Washington Hospital. She was born on June 26, 1946 in Ryerson Station, a daughter of the late Daniel and Margaret Welling Finnegan. She had worked for many years at Cooper Kraus and Heinz in the factory as welder. She had also worked at Mac Plastics and Bobbie Brooks and was a caretaker at Breese Personal Care Home and Humbert Lane. June was a football fan and loved the Pittsburgh Steelers. She also enjoyed playing bingo and casino games. She especially enjoyed watching old game shows on the Game Show Network. On April 1, 1967 she married Richard Sim, who passed away on July 3, 1987. Surviving are a daughter, Michele Moore of Claysville; a son, David (Angela) Sim of Claysville; two brothers, Gordon (Donna) Finnegan of Warren, OH and Ralph (Sue) Finnegan of Conroe, TX; a sister, Wilma (Bill) Doxator of Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Darla Hughey, Georgia (fiancé Luke Desmond) Sim, and Justin Sim; a great grandson, Eli Hughey; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Pete, Harold, Ron, Fred, and Reid Finnegan; and three sisters, Leota Hewitt, Evelyn Harrington, and Kathy Williams.
