Juanita T. Humphreys, 84, of Washington, died January 29, 2024, in The Greenery, Canonsburg. She was born October 27, 1939, in Roanoke, Virginia, a daughter of the late Herbert Thomas and Myrtle Minteer Thomas. Mrs. Humphreys attended William Fleming High School in Roanoke. She worked as a certified nursing assistant at various hospitals and nursing facilities, including at Hawthorne Woods. Mrs. Humphreys loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed Wii bowling, playing bingo, and having coffee and talking with her friends. She was a former member of Third United Presbyterian Church. On August 25, 1962, she married David W. Humphreys, Sr., who died September 11, 2008. Surviving are three sons, David (Debbie) Humphreys, Jr., of Washington, Ron (Susan) Humphreys of Washington, and Scott Humphreys, of California, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Michelle (Jeff) Moran of Washington; two sisters, Shirley Graham of Moundsville, Virginia, and Betty Stone of Roanoke, Virginia; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren plus one on the way; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a sister, Virginia Sloane. There will be no public visitation or service.
