Joseph W. Shape

Joseph “Joe” W. Shape, 65, of Claysville, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2024. He was born August 28, 1958, a son of Sarah E. Shape and the late John I. Shape. Joe was a 1976 graduate of McGuffey High School. He was a former United States Marine Corps Reservist. Joe had many different job skills and had last been employed by UPS Freight. He loved to garden. He also loved to fish and is probably fishing right now with his son, Francis. He was a friend to all. He is survived by sons Joe (Ashley) and Terry (Lindsey); grandsons Colt, Eli and Arlo; his mother, Sarah; brothers John (Kate) and Jim (Darlene); sisters Sue Yaworski (Bruce) and Dawn Greenleaf (Justin); ex-wife Theresa; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Deceased, in addition to his father, is a son, Francis. Funeral arrangements are private and entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
