Joseph W. Rasel

Joseph W. Rasel, 61, of Washington, passed away on December 26, 2022, in his home. He was born on December 1, 1961, in Alameda, California, the son of Beatrice L. Taylor Rasel, of Washington and Duane Rasel, of Lone Pine. Upon graduating from Trinity High School, Joe pursued a career in real estate. He was a very successful local real estate agent, having spent many years with Northwood Realty. He loved football and was a faithful Steelers fan. A motorcycle enthusiast, Joe enjoyed riding. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Joe is survived by a son, Joseph Chase Durila, of Washington; a granddaughter, Catherine Bea Durila, of Washington; a sister, Carrie A. Rasel, of Melbourne, FL; and a niece, Mandy N. Spielvogel. Joe was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Nevada Carrie Taylor. Family and friends are welcome from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., on Saturday, January 7, 2023, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a celebration of life service will immediately follow at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made to Joe’s family.
