Joseph David Polen, 67, of Amwell Township, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in his home. He was born August 26, 1956, in Washington, a son of the late Arthur David Polen and Grace Thomas Polen. Joe was a Trinity High School graduate and Western Area Vo-Tech School graduate and had worked as a construction contractor. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church of Washington. He was a Scout Master for more than a decade for Troop 1039 of Boy Scouts of America and was a board member of Child Evangelism Outreach. Joe loved to work around his property, baling hay, doing farming work and building bonfires. On August 18, 1978, he married his wife, Donna Polen, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Renee (David) Brown; a son, Benjamin Joseph (Kelly) Polen; grandchildren Naomi Brown, Chloe Brown and Emily, Jack, Seth and Zeke Polen; brothers Perry (Twila) Polen, Tom (Brenda) Polen; sisters Judy (Jay) Fenton and Patty (Don) Catlett; and numerous nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother Charles A. Polen, and twin to Tom Polen, Timothy Polen. Family and friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, April 27, 2024, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with the Rev. Fred McCloskey officiating.
