Joseph Anthony Miller

Joseph Anthony Miller, 85, of Washington, died Tuesday, September 8, 2020, in his home. He was born July 23, 1935, in Dunlo, Cambria County, a son of the late Andy and Olga Emerick Miller. Mr. Miller graduated from St. Michaels High School. He worked as a supervisor for CJ Landenfelder and as a truck driver for K&M. Mr. Miller served in the Army from April 15, 1958, until his honorable discharge on April 7, 1960, earning a Good Conduct Medal. He was a member of St. Hilary Church in Washington and the Moose in Dunlo. Surviving are his wife, Anna Dean Miller; two sons, Charles (Beth) Riggs of Waynesburg and J.R. (Joyce) Riggs of Washington; a daughter, Candice (Gary) Otte of Washington; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are a grandson, Charles Riggs III, brothers, Paul, George, Andy, and John; and sister, Anna and Marie. Due to state-mandated Covid-19 restrictions, all services are private.
