Joseph Francis, 69, of Washington, died Wednesday, April 25, 2018, in St. Clair Hospital. He was born January 17, 1949, in Washington, a son of the late Richard J. and Lilian Thomas Francis. Mr. Francis graduated from Washington High School in 1967, and from Grove City College in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.  He worked as the warehouse manager for Fairmont Supply Company in Washington for twenty years. After retiring, he did tax preparation for many local individuals.  A strong supporter of Wash High football, Mr. Francis loved sports, especially football, and enjoyed coaching as well.  He also enjoyed home improvement projects. His children and grandchildren were most important to him. A devout Catholic, Mr. Francis was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. On January 25, 1975, he married Linda Eileen Lewandowski, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Joseph (Amy) Francis of Washington and Corey (Cara) Francis of South Fayette; a daughter, Jennifer (Matthew) McConnell of Tempe, Arizona; a brother, Dr. William (Theresa) Francis of Westlake, Ohio; a sister, Linda (the late Stanley) McKavish of Washington; and six grandchildren, Zoe McConnell, Hayden Francis, Aylah Francis, Lilianna Francis, Logan Francis, and Jackson Francis; nieces, Kathryn, Christine, Laura and Anne; and a nephew, David Jason Vankirk. Deceased is a brother, Richard Francis. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Monday, April 30th, in Immaculate Conception Church, with Father Dan Waruszewski as celebrant.  Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
