Joseph Christopher Francis

Joseph Christopher Francis, 43 of Washington, died Friday, January 24, 2020. He was born April 2, 1976, in Washington, the son of Linda E. Lewandowski Francis, of Washington, and the late Joseph Francis. Joseph, a 1994 graduate of Washington High School, graduated from Washington & Jefferson College in 1998 and attained a law degree from Widener University in 2001. His spent his career in private practice as a criminal defense attorney within Washington and surrounding communities. Joseph was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. He loved comedy movies and was always kidding and laughing with friends about The Simpsons or Adam Sandler.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Sports fan. He loved spending time with his two young children along with all cousins. His favorite activities included coaching baseball, shooting nerf darts with his son and playing games with his daughter. Joseph is survived by his mother; a son, Hayden Francis; a daughter, Aylah Francis; his former wife Amy Francis; two dear siblings, brother Corey (Cara) Francis of McDonald and sister Jennifer (Matthew) McConnell of Scottsdale, AZ; nieces and nephews Zoe McConnell, Lilianna, Logan and Jackson Francis; aunts and uncles, Dr. William (Theresa) Francis of Westlake, OH, David (Debbie) Lewandowski of Bethel Park, Debbie (Kurt) Limbach of Mt. Lebanon; cousins, Katie, Christine, Laura, Annie, David, Leah, Tracey and Matthew; dear friends, Michael Jackson & John Kulik. Deceased are aunts and uncles, Richard Francis, Linda McKavish, Karen Ragghianti, Uncle Vic and cousin Frankie. Friends will be received Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 3 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church with Father John Lynam as celebrant. Private burial at Immaculate Conception Cemetery will be held later.
