Joseph Paul Anderson, Jr., 79, of Washington, died on February 4, 2021, in his home. He was born on July 18, 1941, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, a son of the late Joseph P. Anderson, Sr. and Margaret Kumer Anderson. Mr. Anderson was a 1959 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Joseph worked for Jessop Steel. A man who lived a simple life, Joe enjoyed antiquing, garage sales, animals, especially cats and dogs, and classic rock. Surviving are two sons, Mark Joseph Anderson and Stanley "Butch" John (Shari) Anderson, both of Washington; a daughter, Denise (Jim) Smith, of Washington; a brother, A. John Anderson, of Confluence, PA; and two grandchildren, Danielle Lynn Hines and Connor Joseph Anderson. Deceased is a sister, who died as a baby.
