John Scott “Jack” Lusk, Sr., 86, of Washington, died on April 5, 2022, in the Washington Hospital. He was born on April 19, 1935, in Monongahela, a son of the late Clarence and Madehla Morton Lusk. A veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Lusk served from June 2, 1956, until his Honorable Discharge, with the rank of Sergeant, on June 1, 1959. His last duty assignment, and major command, was as a Military Policeman, with Company A 720th Military Police Battalion, in Fort Hood, Texas. He earned his Rifle Sharpshooter and .45 Pistol Sharpshooter badges, and was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Lusk had worked for 32 ½ years for McGraw/Cooper Industries as an inspector, and was a North Franklin police officer for over eight years. Jack was a member of Edwin Scott Linton Post 175 of the American Legion, and the Trinity Band Parent Association. He enjoyed polka dancing, big band, and square dances. On June 18, 1955, he married Josephine Ann Voytek, who died on October 3, 2013. Surviving are three children, John Scott Lusk, Jr., David Michael Lusk, and Deanna Lynn Nuzem; two grandchildren, Luke and Joel Nuzem; and his friend and caretaker, Marge, and her family. All services were private.
