John Dalton Bennett

John Dalton Bennett, 78, of Washington, died June 1, 2021, at Washington Hospital. He was born January 30, 1943, in Prosperity, the son of the late Arthur Murray and Marie Florence Lindley Bennett. John graduated from Washington High School and retired as a heavy equipment operator, with Operating Engineers Local 66. He loved being outdoors, gardening, browsing the farmers market, and walking his dogs, Daisy and Lulu. John attended the First Baptist Church. On August 31, 1963, John married Karen Lee Amos, who survives. Also surviving is a son, Christopher John (Krissy) Bennett; a daughter, Leslie Jo Bennett; brothers, Hugh (Frances) Bennett, Thomas (Sue) Bennett, Fred Bennett; sisters, Dale Bennett, and Nancy (George) Barnhart; and grandchildren, Aaron Dalton (Courtnie) Bennett, Kaylee Elizabeth Bennett, Kierstin Marie Bennett, and Christopher Thomas Bennett. John was preceded in death by sisters Thelma Bennett and Karen Bennett. Friends will be received Saturday, June 5, 2021, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, with Rev. Adam Wolf officiating.
