John Darrell Anderson

John Darrell Anderson, 72 of   Stafford, Virginia formerly of Washington, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 in his home. He was born October 11, 1945 in Washington, the son of the late Melvin Jacob Anderson Sr. and Gladys Hull Anderson. John worked for Tri-State Engineering for 14 years as a laborer and later for F.B.I. in the custodial department for 10 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching television. John was Baptist by faith. On June 15, 1968, he married Nancy Ann Kelley, who survives. Also surviving are a son, John (Angela) Anderson Jr. of Stafford VA; a daughter, Lisa A. (James) King of Stafford, VA; a brother Roger Anderson of Claysville; five grandchildren, Joshua Anderson, Amanda King, Faith King, Brandon Witt and Alyssa McPherson; two great grandchildren, Liam and Landon Witt. Deceased are two brothers, Melvin and Don Anderson; two sisters, Bonnie Anderson and Darlene Pierson. Friends will be received Monday, October 30, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. the time of service with Pastor Rick Bruckner officiating at William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd, 925 Allison Ave, Washington. Burial will follow at Washington Cemetery.
