Jody H. Menni, 62, of Robinson Township, died on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, in her home, following a ten-year battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on February 8, 1955, in Brownsville, a daughter of Charlotte C. Chambers Hughes, of Allison, PA, and the late Charles A. Hughes, Sr. Jody was graduated as Valedictorian of her Brownsville High School class, and was graduated from California University of Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor’s Degree. Mrs. Menni was a member of Union Presbyterian Church, where she was a Deacon, and sang in the choir. As a microbiologist, Jody worked in the Microbiology Lab in Suburban Hospital, then UPMC Mercy Hospital, and most recently at Allegheny General Hospital. She loved being involved in her children’s lives, was an avid reader, and loved her pets and plants. On October 24, 1981, she married William Eric Menni, who died on July 26, 2013. Surviving are two sons, Jordan Christopher Menni, of Robinson Township, and Jason Eric Menni, of Robinson Township; two brothers, Charles A. (Charla) Hughes, Jr., of Fresno, CA, and William W. (Joyce) Hughes, of Allison, PA; a sister, Charlene R. Hughes, of Quaker Hill, CT; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dr. Barbara and Dr. Raymond Juriga, of Uniontown; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Friends will be received on Friday, January 12, 2018, from 2 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA 15301. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 13, 2018, in Union Presbyterian Church, 6165 Steubenville Pike, McKees Rocks, PA 15136.
