Jessie Marian Miller

Jessie Marian Miller, 91, of Washington, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at The Washington Hospital. She was born in Castile, Pennsylvania, a daughter of William and Margaret Swihart Ross. She was raised in Marianna and graduated in 1950 from West Beth High School. On October 20, 1951, she married the love of her life, Paul G. Miller, who passed away in 2005. Mrs. Miller was employed as a secretary for 25 years in the Trinity School District, retiring in 1993. One of her favorite joys, besides her family, was camping at Big Bear Lake Campground every summer. Surviving are five children, Debra (Donald) Baker of Wellsburg, West Virginia, Robert (Cindy) Miller of Washington, Pamela (Charles) LaBella of Washington, Linda (Kevin) Klages of Wellsburg, West Virginia, and Diane (Dave) Gump of Washington. Also surviving are grandchildren, Brian Engle, Beth Roth, Eric Engle, Ian Miller, Jill Wolpink, Zachary and Brandon Klages, and David and Cody Gump; 20 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Moore of Florida and Darlene (James) Brown of Ohio; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three grandsons, Jason and Jeremy LaBella and Donald Baker, Jr.; her twin sister, Mary Matthews; sister, Peggy Unrue; and brothers, Laurence, Fred, Lloyd, William, and Ronald Ross. Friends will be received on Thursday, December 22, 2022, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 28th. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation in honor of her grandson, Jeremy LaBella. Donations can be sent to NFFF, P.O.
