Jean Hanas, 91, of Washington, died February 8, 2024, in Hawthorne Woods, Washington. She was born April 3, 1932, in Washington, a daughter of the late Percy Lydick and Margaret Miller Lydick. Mrs. Hanas earned her undergraduate degree at California University of Pennsylvania and her master’s degree at the University of Pittsburgh. She was a registered nurse who taught at the Washington Hospital School of Nursing. Mrs. Hanas loved to travel and enjoyed coloring, word search puzzles, crossword puzzles, and reading the Bible. She loved her chocolate Labrador Retriever, Simon. Deceased are her husband, John Hanas, and her brother, Miller Lydick. Surviving are a nephew, Michael Daniels, and his family. There will be no public viewing or service.
