Jarrod D. Nemeth

January 29, 1980 — September 7, 2023

It is with great sadness that we share the unexpected passing of our Prexie Brother, Jarrod D. Nemeth, 43, of Washington, on September 7, 2023. He was born January 29, 1980, in Washington, the son of Cheryl Stewart Nemeth and the late Daniel “Dimpy” Nemeth. On December 29, 2004, Jarrod married Melissa Stone, who survives. Jarrod leaves behind his wife Melissa; three sons, Jayden, Ryder, and Landon; his beloved Aunt Linn & Uncle Art; his close-knit family & friends; and the entire Prexie community. Mr. Nemeth proudly served his country in Iraq with the United States Army, where he was awarded the Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and Armed Forces Reserve Medal with M Device. He was a delivery driver for Bartram House Bakery and had worked as a lab tech for Perryman Company. Jarrod was an integral part of the coaching staff for D III (k-2nd grade) Washington Youth Football Team. He was a friend to so many, and a very proud hands-on Dad to his three boys, who he thought the world of. The boys were active in youth and high school sports (football, wrestling, baseball, and basketball). He spent countless hours driving them (and other kids) to practices, games, workouts, and wrestling matches. He was the dad and coach every kid should have in their corner. He gave never-ending support and encouragement to his boys as well as others. He would do anything for anybody and was always willing to volunteer/donate his time to help someone in need. Family and friends will be received Tuesday, September 12, 2023, 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, at the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301. The service will be Wednesday, September 13th, at 11:30 am, with Pastor Caleb Ramey officiating. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, with military honors accorded by American Legion Post 175 and the Army.
