Janice Louise Brownlee, 65, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Southmont Presbyterian SeniorCare in Washington. She was born July 7, 1959, in Washington, a daughter of Joann Brownlee and the late Grover Lehman Brownlee. Janice attended special education classes at Clark School in Washington. She was known as “the socialite” at Southmont, remembering people, dates and birthdays. She also loved playing with her doll, Cathy, and loved all of her cousins. Janice was an honorary member of the Claysville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary as well as a member of Fairmount United Methodist Church. Surviving are a sister, Carol Ann Yates (John) and numerous cousins and friends who will deeply miss her smile. She is happily reunited in heaven with her “Daddy.” Family and friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Additional visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of service, Monday, February 3, 2025, in Fairmount United Methodist Church, 120 Fairmount Church Road, West Finley, with the Rev. Scott Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow immediately at the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Fairmount U.M.
