Janet Lynn Crum

Janet Lynn Crum, 51 of Prosperity, passed away and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 28th, 2024, at 6:05 a.m. She fought a lengthy battle with Cancer and was at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital at the time of her passing. She was born on February 10, 1973, in Washington, the daughter of James and Judy Crum. Janet attended Grace Bible School, Faith Christian School and graduated from McGuffey High School in 1992. She loved life and was a kid at heart. She was involved with the various activities of her home church – The Upper Ten Mile Presbyterian Church in Prosperity. Janet would volunteer and help with many activities including the annual fish fry each Easter, which she always looked forward to. Church was basically her “second home”. She also loved working with children and helped with The Bible Release after school program in Claysville each year. Janet loved gardening and tending to her many flowers, cooking, bird watching, and anything to do with nature and animals. She was always the most content to be at home with her dog and cats as well as horses when she had them. Janet is preceded in death by both of her parents, James and Judy Crum, as well as both paternal and maternal grandparents and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her brother, David Crum (Michele) of Lancaster, Ohio; niece Rachel Crum of Lancaster, Ohio; nephew John David Crum of Lancaster, Ohio; aunts - Lois Crum Boley of Holly Lakes Ranch, Texas; Betty Stanley of Lancaster, Ohio as well as numerous cousins and their children. Also, very good and special friends – Kerry Frost, Amy Rogers and Jim and Sandy Roberts. Family and friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2024, at The Upper Ten Mile Presbyterian Church in Prosperity, 25 Church Lane, Prosperity. There will also be a visitation at 9 – 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, immediately followed by a service and burial with Pastor Cody Rogers officiating.
