Janet May Barger, 88, of Washington, died November 25, 2021, in Hawthorne Woods Assisted Living, Washington. She was born July 19, 1933, in New Castle, PA, the daughter of the late Edwin Theodore and Dorothy Wagner Armstrong. Janet graduated from Princeton High School and Butler Hospital School of Nursing- RN program. She was a homemaker, who loved cats and reading, an avid Steelers fan, and a wonderful cook and baker. On September 4, 1954, Janet married Bernard Barger, who died September 15, 2015, after 61 years of marriage. Surviving is a son Timothy (Patricia Geary) Barger, of Washington; daughters, Lorrie (Thomas) Sherron, of Hockessin, DE, and Jill (Tim) Barger McVaugh, of Mars, PA; a sister, Jayne (Gary) Hoover, of Newport Richey, FL; grandchildren, Denise, Jessica, David, Ian, Aaron, Haley, and Dillon; great-grandchildren, Evan, Austin, and Kenzie. Janet was preceded in death by her sister Joan McClearn. At the request of the deceased, all services were private and entrusted to William G.
