Jane Virginia Holden, 84, of Washington, died Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Washington Hospital. She was born March 16, 1937, in West Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Harry Benjamin and Jane Virginia Perkins Moseley. Jane graduated from Overbrook High School and was a homemaker. She was a very active member of Nazareth Baptist Church of Washington, in the choir, Senior Action Council, and past secretary. She was also a member of the NAACP. She was an amazing homemaker, loving mother, and took great care of her family. She loved decorating her home, and drawing – she was a great artist. Jane was the wife of James Melvin Holden, Sr., who died October 3, 1993. Left to cherish her memory, is daughter Michele Holden of Raleigh, NC; sons Glenn William Holden, Sr. of Washington, and Tyrone (Lisa) Holden of Washington; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Jane was preceded in death by son, James Melvin Holden, Jr., and siblings, Alvin Moseley, Calvin Moseley, Ruth Moseley. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 10, 2021, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301, with Pastor Armstead officiating, followed by internment in Washington Cemetery.
