James "Sonny" Allen

James “Sonny” Allen, 81, of Washington, died on Saturday, April 14, 2018, in his home. He was born on February 19, 1937, in Washington, a son of the late Lester and Olive Obney Rogers Allen. Mr. Allen had worked as a machinist for Glen Carbide, Inc. Sonny was a member of the VFW Post 927, and the Loyal order of the Moose Lodge #22. An avid pool player, he also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. On May 27, 1958, he married Ellamae Yolton, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, James Edward (Judi) Allen, and John Wayne (Jackie) Allen, both of Washington; two daughters, Judith Ann Shrontz, and Jodi (Robb) Hamilton, both of Washington; two grandchildren, Ashley Allen, and Cody Hamilton; a great grandchild, Zoey Tilger, as well as several nieces and nephews. Deceased are five brothers, Charles, William, Richard, Robert and Gerald Allen, and two sisters, Norma Jean Young and Betty Louise Keener. At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or services.
