James Richard "Pappy" Gray Jr., 63 of Canonsburg, died Monday, August 27, 2018. He was born August 31, 1954 in Washington, the son of Dolores “Dolly” Maria Aquilino Mayberry of Washington. James was a 1972 Trinity High School graduate and worked as maintenance supervisor for IPS Industries for 10 years. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting and Harley Davidsons. He was an avid sports fan, devoted husband, father, grandfather and son. He loved to help anyone. On May 26, 2013, he married Hope Weber, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Jesse Gray of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Kopelic of Robinson; a stepson, Matthew (Jasmyne) Weber of Kansas; a stepdaughter, Karen (Joel) Harr of Colorado Springs; two brothers, Richard (Sharon) Gray of Washington and Gary (Sabrina) Gray of Columbus, OH; a sister, Donna (Ray) Smalley of Marysville, OH; seven grandchildren, Malia, Mason, Brayden, Evelyn, Jackson, Andre and Jayden; stepfather, Sam Mayberry; several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Friday, August 31, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave, Washington, where services will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Erik Hoeke officiating.
