James A. “Jim” Ashton, Esquire, 90 of West Alexander, died Monday, August 20, 2018 at Premier Health Center He was born January 17, 1928 in Glassport, PA the son of the late James A. Ashton and Julia Goshio Ashton. Jim was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II. A long-time attorney, Jim practiced civil and criminal litigation in Allegheny and Washington Counties. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, Marleen Ashton, Esquire; a son David (Brad Dobrein) Ashton; a brother, Phillip Ashton; a sister, Edna Ashton; daughter in law, Norma Ashton and his beloved German Shepherd dog, Amy. Deceased in addition to his parents is a son, Dr. James M. Ashton. A Celebration of Life will be held later. Arrangements have been entrusted to William G.
