Jacqueline K. Lacks, 59, of Washington, died Sunday, December 3, 2023, in The Washington Hospital. She was born June 16, 1964, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Delores Lunsford Brown of Washington and the late Nelson T. Brown. Mrs. Lacks graduated from Canon-McMillan High School. She was a homemaker who loved cooking and watching the Food Network. She also enjoyed music. Her husband, Richard D. Lacks, Sr., died December 12, 2013. Also deceased are a son, Richard Dewey Brown Lacks; two grandchildren, Nevaeh Sheets and Kobe Long; two siblings, Nelson S. Brown and Cheryl E. Brown; two nephews, Darnell Steven Russell Brown and Troy Lamont Saunders. Surviving are two sons, Blayr L. Brown (Christa Bolen) and Richard D. Lacks, Jr., both of Washington; two sisters, Debra A. Brown of Washington and Terry L. Brown (Pedro) of Hagerstown, Maryland; a granddaughter, Trina Marie White of Claysville; a niece, Nyieka Speer; two nephews, Russell Brown and Darnell Steven Russell Brown II; and many additional nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Thursday, December 14th, from 9 to 11 a.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
