Jack A. Rutan

Jack Allan Rutan, 73, of Washington, died Sunday, September 20, 2020, in Premier Washington Health Center. He was born July 21, 1947, in Brownsville, a son of the late Ralph and Ruth Walker Rutan. A graduate of Bentworth High School, Mr. Rutan worked as a truck driver for Beacon’s and as a groundskeeper at Lincoln Terrace. He enjoyed yard work and working around the house. On August 12, 1974, he married Sharon Loughman, who survives. Also surviving are five sons, Charles Rutan of Washington, Richie Rutan and Ricky Rutan (Denise), both of Ohio, Harry Hartzell (Pat Gorski) of Butler and Roger Hartzell of Bethel; two daughters, Diane Rutan (Tom) of Ohio and Tammy Burgess (William) of Houston; a brother, Berry Rutan of Ohio; a sister, Linda Rutan of Washington; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother, Ralph Rutan. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no public visitation or service. Arrangements have been entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., Washington.
