Jack L. Boswell

Jack L. Boswell, 89, of Washington, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022, in Wheeling Hospital. He was born January 28, 1933, in Washington, a son of the late John Boswell and Mildred Doak. Jack was a veteran of the United States Army, having served from March 19, 1953 until March 10, 1955. For his service, he was awarded the Army of Occupation Medal (Germany), the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal Following his time in the Army, Jack proudly worked at Coen Oil Company, LLC, for 43 years as a salesman. Throughout his life, he enjoyed hunting, sports, as well as all the Pittsburgh sports teams. He was also a member of the Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post #175 in Washington. On July 7, 1956, he married Shirley Laws, who survives. Also surviving are his three children, Robert (Vicki) Boswell, Mila (Joseph) Dolinar, and Brenda (Christopher) Maple; three grandchildren, Tatum (Charles) Waters, Madison Stimmell, and Mika Dolinar; as well as two great-grandchildren, Scarlet, and Charles Waters. He was preceded in death by his parents; as well as two brothers, Richard Boswell and William Boswell. Family and friends will gather from 6 until 8 p.m., on Thursday, September 15, 2022, and on Friday, September 16, 2022, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m., the time of service, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Interment will follow at Washington Cemetery.
