Irene Gilpin

Irene “Nene” Gilpin, 77, of Washington, died November 24, 2022, in The Grove at Washington. She was born August 1, 1945, in Washington, a daughter of the late John Stankowski, and Irene Rockovich. Irene was a homemaker. On September 28, 1961, Irene married Philip M. Gilpin, who died November 3, 2021. Surviving are two sons, Philip Gilpin, of Canonsburg, and Raymond Gilpin, of Burgettstown; daughters, Susan Doak, of Washington, and Dawn Keigley, of Evansville, IN; a brother Butch Stankowski, of Florida; a sister, Vicki Smith (David), of Canonsburg; twelve grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Irene was preceded in death by a daughter Robbin Craig, a brother, John Stankowski, sister, Patricia Gilbert. Family and friends will be received Monday, November 28, 2022. From 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where the service will be held Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 11 am. Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Gardens.
