Howard Allen Krovak, 59, of Slippery Rock, formerly of Burgettstown, died May 11, 2022, in Promedica, Canonsburg. He was born June 23, 1962, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Richard and Gloria Kelso Krovak. Mr. Krovak attended Burgettstown High School and was a graduate of Kentucky Farrier School. Howard was self-employed as a Farrier. He was involved with 4H, All American Pony Puller Association, WV Farriers, and PA Farriers Association. He competed in horseshoe and pulling contests and won First place in 2015, for Lightweight Pony Pulling, at the PA State Farm Show. Surviving is his longtime companion, Lori Ann Washabaugh, sons, Josh Krovak and fiancé Rachael; stepson, Scott Hill; sister, Roxanne Barton and her husband Jay; and nephews, Nick and Aaron Barton. He will also be missed by his cat “Nasty Cat”, and horse “Monkey”. Friends will be received Saturday, May 14, 2022, 4 to 8 pm, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
