A loving and beloved father of four, Howard Lee Bowman, 79, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024. Howard was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on March 16, 1945, a son of the late John Johnson and Katherine Bowman. He raised his family in Washington, Pennsylvania, where he resided until his passing. Dad was everyone's favorite uncle. He was always full of life and loved to kid around. Even in his last few months, he was full of “piss and vinegar.” He just loved giving people a hard time. Howard enjoyed having coffee with his brother every morning and taking car rides together. He loved his children and grandchildren and would do anything for his family. Dad was an avid lottery player, always hopeful of a big windfall. He was also an amazing artist and loved to draw. He retired after 40 years of service with Casper Colosimo & Sons. Howard is survived by his loving children, daughters Tammy Vincik (Tim) and Bernadette Bowman (Raymond), and sons Samuel Bowman (Dana) and James Bowman (Crystal); grandchildren Brandon James, Hannah Rae, Hope Ashley, Joshua Devin and Zachary Thomas; great-grandchildren Dani Jayne, Aria Marie and Malakai James; his sister, Sue Wetzel; and brother Bernard Bowman; along with many loving nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to his parents, are brothers Hank, Raymond and Nick, and sisters Alice, Esther, Elsie and Charlotte. His presence will be deeply missed by many and loved dearly by his family. No funeral services will be held at this time but a celebration of Howard’s life with be held in the months to come.
