Henry E. Alexy, 91, of Chartiers Township, died Saturday, September 25, 2021, in his home. He was born October 9, 1929, in Washington, a son of Charles A. Alexy and Marie Pape Alexy. A veteran of the Army Reserves, Mr. Alexy was honorably discharged on June 25, 1960, as a corporal. He worked at Hazel Atlas for five years, Continental Can for 10 years, Brockway Glass for 10 years, and as a supervisor for Chartiers Township for 20 years. Mr. Alexy enjoyed his train set and woodworking and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church. On January 8, 1955, he married Susan Helen Reboich, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Edward Paul Alexy and his wife, Beth Grabiak Alexy; two daughters, Debra Ann Alexy and Rebecca Sue Palfreyman and her husband, Brian Lee Palfreyman; three grandchildren, Brianna Palfreyman, Brittany Palfreyman, and Nathan Alexy; and many nieces and nephews. Deceased are brothers, Charles, Bill and August Alexy, and sisters, Dorothy Ann and Marie Alexy. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Thursday, September 30th, in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, 300 Pike Street, Meadowlands, with Father Tom Gillespie as celebrant. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded graveside by American Legion Edwin Scott Linton Post 175.
