Helen K. Piacenza

Helen K. Piacenza 98, of Bridgeville,  formerly of  Mt. Pleasant Township, died on August 23, 2017, at Genesis Healthcare in Bridgeville. She was born December 16, 1918, in Avella, a daughter of the late Andrew and Barbara Balog Kovalcik. Helen attended Cross Creek Schools, and was a homemaker. She was a member of First Lutheran Church of Washington,  Mt. Pleasant Society of Farm Women, and the Washington Senior Citizen Center  On October 28, 1944, she married Antonio “Tony” Piacenza, who died October 27, 1988. Surviving are her daughter, Helena (Clyde) Baker of Crafton, and many nieces and nephews. Deceased are daughters, Jean Piacenza, Anna Morrow; brothers, Andrew, George, Steve, John, Joseph Kovalcik; and Sisters, Ann Lacko, Mary Zimmerman, Elizabeth Butterfield. Friends will be received on Sunday, August 27, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington, PA.  Additional visitation will be held on Monday August 28, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m, the time of service, in First Lutheran Church, 92 West Walnut Street, Washington. Burial will follow in West Middletown Cemetery.
